Mr Duncan Avis is a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Hand and Upper Limb Surgery. He graduated with Honours from the University of Bristol Medical School in 2004 and went on to complete his general surgical training in Bristol, the South West, and South Wales. Mr Avis then pursued his specialist orthopaedic training in the Wessex region, earning an MSc in Trauma Surgery along the way. He further honed his expertise through the prestigious British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) Fellowship at renowned hospitals in Birmingham. Mr Avis is one of the few Hand Surgeons to have been awarded the British Diploma in Hand Surgery, which demonstrates his up-to-date knowledge and skills in the field. He has a particular interest in hand and upper limb surgery, including procedures on the elbow and shoulder. Since July 2017, Mr Avis has been serving as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke, where he focuses on hand and upper limb surgery. He is actively involved in teaching and research and is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and an Associate Member of the BSSH. Mr Duncan Avis's qualifications and training are impressive. In addition to his medical degree, he obtained the FRCS Trauma & Orthopaedics qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2015. He also holds an MSc in Trauma Surgery and the British Diploma of Hand Surgery.
