Mr Dominic Marley is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon, with expertise in the surgical and non-surgical management of disorders of the hip and knee. He completed his basic surgical training in Northern Ireland and obtained his specialist training in the North West orthopaedic rotation. In 2018, he was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS T&O) and the North West Trainee of the year award. He received his Certificate of Completion of training (CCT) in 2019 and went on to complete a two-year arthroplasty fellowship at the renowned Centre for Hip Surgery at Wrightington Hospital. Mr Marley has a keen interest in the implementation of new surgical technologies and has published research articles and book chapters on the subject. He is dedicated to evidence-based practice and only uses orthopaedics implants with excellent survivorship as documented by the National Joint Registry. Mr Marley is currently working at the Royal Bolton Hospital and serves as the medical education lead for orthopaedics, training orthopaedic trainees and supervising junior doctors at various levels. He is also invited to serve as faculty for specialist hip and knee courses and educational courses for trainees preparing for their exams. His specializations include trauma and orthopaedic surgery, with sub-specialties in hip and knee conditions. Mr Marley is particularly interested in hip arthritis, knee arthritis, hip replacements, knee replacements, knee arthroscopy, revision hip and knee replacements, and the treatment of conditions such as hip pain and knee pain. He offers video and telephone consultations in addition to his clinical work. In his spare time, Mr Dominic Marley enjoys various activities, such as exploring the implementation of new surgical technologies, participating in specialist courses, and conducting research on hip and knee conditions. He is also actively involved in medical education, training and supervising junior doctors. His dedication to evidence-based practice and commitment to using high-quality orthopaedic implants ensure that his patients receive the best care possible.
