About
David Knox is a consultant specialising in shoulder and elbow orthopaedic surgery. He graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2000 and completed his registrar training in Glasgow in 2014. He then underwent further sub-specialist training in shoulder and elbow surgery in Melbourne, Australia and at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry. Since his appointment to NHS Worcestershire in February 2016, he has been serving as a consultant in this field. David has a particular interest in elective and trauma shoulder/elbow surgery for adults, and is skilled in procedures such as rotator cuff repair, biceps repair, shoulder replacement, and clavicle and humerus fracture fixation. David Knox is a member of the International Member American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and an AO Trauma Member. He has published several research papers in reputable journals, covering topics such as nail gun injuries to the hand and acetabular failure. He holds qualifications including a BSc and MB ChB from the University of Aberdeen, as well as an FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery) from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. Apart from his medical career, David Knox has a personal interest in family and is actively involved in research on shoulder arthroplasty, clavicle fixation, and orthopaedic trauma surgery.
