David Hartwright is a Consultant Orthopaedic & Trauma Surgeon at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. With over 20 years of experience, he specializes in lower limb surgery, particularly hip and knee arthroplasty and sports injuries. He received his Surgical Training in London and completed fellowship training in Australia and Europe. Alongside his practice, David is actively involved in research and medical education, serving as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons and an educational supervisor for the Wessex Deanery. He has presented at national and international meetings and has published articles in leading orthopaedic journals. David's qualifications include an MB ChB from the University of Birmingham in 1994, FRCS (Tr&Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2005, and an MSc (Tr&Orth) from the University of Brighton in 2008. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, BHS, BASK, AO Trauma Faculty, and AO Alumni. He offers courses on hip and knee arthroplasty, sports injuries, orthopaedic surgery concepts, and the history of orthopaedics to General Practitioners. His areas of interest include hip resurfacing, degenerative knee disorders, lower limb trauma, and sports injuries.
