Mr Colin Senior is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in trauma surgery, shoulder surgery, and lower limb arthroplasty. He graduated from Nottingham Medical School in 1998 and underwent higher surgical training in orthopaedics in the Wessex region. He also completed a fellowship in orthopaedic surgery, specializing in arthroplasty, shoulder, and trauma surgery in Auckland, New Zealand. Currently, he holds positions as Clinic Department Lead Trauma and Orthopaedics at Dorset County Hospital and Orthopaedic Consultant at Dorset County Hospital and BMI Winterbourne Hospital. Mr Senior's specializations include degenerative joint diseases, sports injuries, and general orthopaedics. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Colin Senior is actively involved in the field of orthopaedics. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Elbow and Shoulder Society. He has conducted courses for General Practitioners on common shoulder injuries, shoulder injuries in sport, and common shoulder conditions. He holds a FRCS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons Ed. His research interests lie in shoulder and trauma research, and he is currently participating in a national research project on keyhole surgery of the shoulder.
