Mr Colin Holton is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon with over 15 years of expertise in the field. He graduated from the University of Leeds Medical School in 2002 and completed specialist orthopaedic training in the Yorkshire region, earning Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2012. Mr Holton has a special interest in adolescent and young adult hip surgery, having received extensive training in hip replacement and arthroscopy techniques both nationally and internationally. He serves as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Leeds General Infirmary and holds various NHS positions, including Deputy Clinical Director at Leeds Children's Hospital and Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Leeds. With a focus on trauma and orthopaedic surgery, Mr Holton's sub-specialties lie in hip and paediatric orthopaedics. He has a keen interest in adolescent and young adult hip conditions, hip arthroscopy, hip arthroplasty, peri-acetabular osteotomy (PAO), and femoral osteotomy. Additionally, he is actively engaged in research, including projects at the University of Leeds bio-engineering department related to the development of a computational diagnostic tool for early intervention hip surgery and bone health in adult and paediatric populations.
