Ciaran McGarvey is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a specialisation in knee surgery. He has extensive experience in treating sports injuries and chronic conditions affecting the knee. Graduating from Cambridge University in 2004, he was appointed as a consultant at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust in 2017. His NHS post is at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, specifically at the Heatherwood and Wexham Park sites. Ciaran McGarvey's special interests include total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, osteotomy, ACL reconstruction, other knee ligament reconstruction, meniscus repair, cartilage repair, knee arthroscopy, patellofemoral instability and pain, and patella tendinopathy. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2014, he obtained the qualification of FRCS (Tr&Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and in 2000, he earned an MA from the University of Cambridge. Ciaran McGarvey is based at various locations, including the Princess Margaret Hospital, Parkside Private Suite Wexham, and Spire Thames Valley Hospital. His GMC Specialist Registration is in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, which he obtained in 2016.
