Christos Kitsis is a highly experienced Hand Surgeon with over 20 years of expertise in Orthopaedics. He obtained the European Diploma in Hand Surgery and completed a PhD thesis in wrist surgery. Mr Kitsis has been a Consultant Hand Surgeon since 2001 and currently works at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton. He is fully dedicated to hand surgery and has developed and managed the Hand Surgery Service at Queens Hospital. He is committed to providing high-quality care and is actively involved in teaching at regional and national level courses. Mr Kitsis has extensive training in Hand Surgery, including fellowships at Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital and the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby. He is a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has received awards for his contributions to the field, including the Upper Limb masterclass and Excellence in Surgical Supervision. His areas of special interest include hand and wrist surgery, arthroscopic surgery, hand reconstruction surgery, and treatment for conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, hand arthritis, and nerve and tendon injuries. Mr Kitsis is also skilled in minimally invasive surgical techniques and has expertise in treating conditions such as tennis and golfer's elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, and trigger finger. He is highly regarded in his field and has a strong focus on providing the highest quality of care to his patients. In addition to his professional achievements, Mr Kitsis has personal interests in swimming at a master's level, photography, and mathematics. He is dedicated to his work as a Hand Surgeon and is passionate about delivering the best possible outcomes for his patients.
