Mr Christopher Wilson is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in knee surgery and trauma surgery. He currently holds positions as a consultant orthopaedic and trauma surgeon at University Hospital Cardiff and as a Professor at Cardiff University. Mr Wilson is also an advanced trainer and educational supervisor to F1, F2, and ST grades. He has several large grants in collaboration with Biosciences in Cardiff University and is involved in disease modification surgery and limb re-alignment osteotomy surgery. Mr Wilson is a member of various professional associations, including the British Association for Surgery of Knee, British Orthopaedic Association, British Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine, and the British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma Association. He has published numerous publications and holds qualifications such as FRCS Orth, MFSEM, and FRCS Ed. Mr Wilson also offers courses to General Practitioners on topics like "orthopaedics for GP's" and "Joint Examination". His areas of interest lie in knee surgery, realignment osteotomy, partial joint replacement, joint replacement, meniscal surgery, ligament surgery, lower limb injuries, and sports injuries.
