Mr Christopher Roberts is an experienced Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics with expertise in Hand & Wrist as well as Shoulder & Elbow surgeries. He completed his training in various locations, including a General Upper Limb Fellowship in Brisbane, Australia and a Shoulder Fellowship in Cape Town, South Africa under Dr Joe De Beer. Mr Roberts was appointed as a Consultant at Ipswich Hospital in 2004, where he focuses on Upper limb elective practice and participates in general On-Call duties. He is actively involved in teaching on the Watanabe Shoulder arthroscopy training programme. With over 15 years of expertise, Mr Roberts holds qualifications such as FRCS (Tr. & Orth.) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002. He has published research in prestigious journals and is a member of BESS (British Elbow and Shoulder Society), BOA (British Orthopaedic Association), and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Mr Roberts also serves as a Visiting Professor of Orthopaedics at the University Campus Suffolk since 2012. His special interests lie in shoulder surgeries, including reconstructive procedures for the rotator cuff and instability, as well as shoulder replacements. Additionally, Mr Roberts leads research projects, with his current focus on studying the use of hydrodilatation for frozen shoulders. In addition to his medical practice, Mr Christopher Roberts has a keen interest in leading research in the Trama and Orthopaedic Department at Ipswich Hospital. His dedication to advancing knowledge in the field is evident through his involvement in projects like investigating hydrodilatation for frozen shoulders. This commitment to research complements his role as a Consultant, further enhancing the quality of care he provides to his patients.
