Mr. David Christopher Rees is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon based at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford, Essex. He completed his medical training at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London, in 1994. Mr. Rees has a special interest in knee surgery and is a specialist in the field of hip and knee surgery. He has expertise in performing procedures such as primary and revision total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, primary total hip replacement, and arthroscopic knee surgery. He is also skilled in procedures for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, meniscal and cartilage surgery, sports injuries, and trauma surgery. Mr. Rees obtained his FRCS (Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England) examinations in 1998 and completed his Specialist Registrar training in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in Stanmore, Middlesex. He was awarded a highly competitive knee fellowship by the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK) in 2004, which allowed him to further enhance his expertise in reconstructive knee surgery. In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Rees is actively involved in medical education and surgical training. He has taught on surgical skills courses organized by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has been an assigned educational supervisor for orthopaedic specialist trainees.
