Mr Chatenya Chauhan is a highly experienced consultant in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, with over 19 years of expertise in the field. Specialising in trauma, arthroscopic, and joint replacement work, particularly focused on the lower limb, he graduated from Dundee University and has lectured in Anatomy and Physiology at Sheffield University. He undertook Orthopaedic training in Leeds and a fellowship at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham before becoming a Consultant in Southend-on-Sea. Mr Chauhan has developed minimally invasive approaches to surgery and has a keen research interest in cartilage damage treatment methods. With a wealth of training and accolades, Mr Chauhan completed basic surgical training in Sheffield and fellowship training at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham. He holds Fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in both 1994 and 2001. Mr Chauhan's specialisations include hip and knee surgery, with a particular interest in pain, arthritis, sports injuries, joint replacement, and non-surgical treatments. He has received awards for his contributions to advancing cartilage repair methods and has a strong research focus on articular cartilage, pain, and patellofemoral disorders. Apart from his medical pursuits, Mr Chatenya Chauhan enjoys various personal interests such as keeping fit, running, cycling, climbing, playing music, and engaging with computing and technology. His commitment to patient care and innovative surgical techniques, combined with a compassionate approach, has earned him a reputation for providing excellent individualised care to his patients and professional colleagues alike.
