Mr Charalampos Karagkevrekis is an experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedics specialist with over 18 years of expertise. He has held NHS posts at Burton Hospitals Foundation Trust since 2003, where he also served as the Clinical Lead of the Orthopaedic Department from 2014 to 2018. Mr Karagkevrekis specialises in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery, particularly focusing on ankle surgery, foot surgery, forefoot reconstruction, Achilles tendon injuries, and various other foot-related conditions. His extensive training includes fellowships in foot and ankle surgery, alongside earning prestigious qualifications such as FRCS (ORTH) in 2001 from the Royal College of Surgeons. As a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot/Ankle Society and the General Medical Council, Mr Karagkevrekis is committed to advancing his field. He has published research on cycling injuries in the International Sports Medical Journal and has delivered courses to General Practitioners on topics like Achilles tendinosis and ankle/foot fractures. Additionally, he has received awards for his work in these areas, showcasing his dedication to excellence in orthopaedic care.
