Benignus Okafor is a highly experienced Senior Consultant in Orthopaedic and Trauma with a special interest in Spine surgery. He has been practicing since 1998 at Whipps Cross University Hospital, Barts Health, London. He graduated from St. Bartholomew's Medical School, London University and completed his training for the Royal College of Surgeon of England fellowship at various prestigious hospitals. Dr. Okafor has completed his Specialist Spine Fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and University College London/Middlesex Hospital. He has also undergone fellowship education in Spine Surgery in various countries including France, Germany, Hong Kong, the USA, and South Africa. He is a trainer for junior doctors and specialist registrars and is involved in providing emergency services for the NHS and undertaking major trauma work and complex spine surgery. Dr. Okafor's specializations include trauma and orthopaedic surgery with a focus on spine surgery. He is a member of various professional societies including the North American Spine Society, the British Spine Society, and the British Scoliosis Society. He has published research in reputable journals such as the European Spine Journal and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.
