Mr. Benedict Lankester is a highly experienced knee surgeon based in Somerset. He has been a consultant at Yeovil District Hospital since 2007, specializing in knee and hip surgery. He is also a consultant at Circle Bath and a member of the Knee Specialist Group since 2011. Mr. Lankester's areas of expertise include cartilage surgery, cruciate ligament reconstruction, patella stabilization, and knee joint replacements. In addition to his NHS roles, Mr. Lankester also has a private practice at Sulis Hospital in Bath. He is a member of various professional organizations, including the British Association for Surgery of the Knee, the British Hip Society, and the British Medical Association. He has published several research papers in peer-reviewed journals and is a frequent speaker at GP groups and practices, providing talks on hip and knee surgery. Mr. Lankester's qualifications include a MRCS in 1999 from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, an MA in 2001 from the University of Oxford, an FRCS (Tr & Orth) in 2005 from the Intercollegiate Specialty Board, and a BM BCh in 1995 from the University of Oxford. He has a special interest in knee surgery, arthroscopy, cartilage repair, knee replacement, and patella stabilization. Outside of work, Mr. Lankester enjoys tennis, triathlons, sailing, and golf.
