Surgeon Bio
Ben Holroyd is an experienced Orthopaedic Consultant with years of expertise in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery. He currently holds NHS posts at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth. Ben specialises in hip and knee surgeries and has a particular interest in paediatric orthopaedics, arthroscopy, lower limb injuries, and trauma cases. He is a member of the British Society of Children's Orthopaedic Surgeons and has published research on developmental hip dysplasia and paediatric trauma. Ben holds a FRCS (Tr & Orth) qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009. In addition to his NHS role, Ben also offers regular training sessions to General Practitioners through Plymouth Nuffield and Mount Stuart Hospital in Torquay, with further sessions available upon request. He has completed an International Fellowship and is GMC registered as a Specialist in Trauma & Orthopaedic surgery since 2009. Outside of his professional life, Ben has a variety of personal interests including triathlon, open water swimming, sailing, and skiing. He is passionate about providing excellent care to his patients and staying up to date with the latest advancements in the field of orthopaedic surgery.
