About
Mr Attila Kovacs is a highly experienced consultant hand and wrist surgeon with over 27 years of expertise. Originally trained in Hungary, he worked as a consultant specialist there from 1994 before moving to the UK in 2009 where he has been working as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon. Currently, he is based at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre, where he treats NHS patients and performs over 500 hand and wrist operations annually. Mr Kovacs holds several specializations, including trauma and orthopaedic surgery. He has undergone extensive training throughout his career, including fellowships with the Hungarian Society of Arthroscopy and the Hungarian Society of Trauma, as well as an AGA Fellowship. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) and a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Kovacs offers free courses on hand and wrist surgery topics for general practitioners. His areas of interest and expertise include various conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, nerve compressions, tendon injuries, and arthritis of the finger joints, among others. Unfortunately, there is no information available regarding any awards Mr Kovacs may have received or his other interests. However, his qualifications and GMC specialist registration in trauma and orthopaedic surgery further emphasize his expertise and dedication to his field.
