He trained in orthopaedic surgery in Newcastle upon Tyne and completed a fellowship in Toronto, Canada before assuming a consultant post in Leicester. His specialties include minimally invasive hip replacement, Superpath hip replacement, hip arthroscopy, knee replacement surgery, and more. Mr Kulkarni also has a keen interest in medical education and research, serving as the Editor in Chief for the web-based orthopaedic information project WIkipaedics and running the UKITE examination. With over a decade of expertise in the field, Mr Ashwin Kulkarni holds memberships in prestigious associations such as the British Orthopaedic Association, International Society of Hip Arthroscopy, and more. He has published in renowned journals like JBJS and Hip International and conducts courses on hip and knee examination, hip arthroscopy, and injections for GPs. Mr Kulkarni's research interests extend to the outcomes of hip arthroscopic surgery, primary hip and knee replacement surgeries, as well as revision procedures.
