Arul Ramasamy

Arul Ramasamy is an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon in Buckinghamshire. He specialises solely in foot and ankle surgery, with a patient-centred approach focused on individual needs. Arul's extensive expertise includes managing a dedicated foot and ankle practice, treating high-level athletes, and completing a PhD in foot and ankle trauma. He also serves as a Supervisor for PhD students in stem cell research at Imperial College London and has won numerous awards, including the prestigious ABC (American-British-Canadian) Travelling Fellowship. Arul's training background includes studying Medicine at the University of Cambridge, completing Basic Surgical Training in Newcastle, and obtaining a PhD in Bio-Engineering at Imperial College London. He has undertaken Higher Surgical Training in Orthopaedics and Trauma, as well as various fellowships in prestigious institutions. With over 50 published papers and book chapters, Arul's research focuses on improving function after foot and ankle trauma, stem cell use in healing, and ankle ligament injuries in professional footballers. He regularly teaches on Foot and Ankle conditions and is a Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. In addition to his clinical work, Arul Ramasamy is deeply involved in research projects to enhance foot and ankle injury outcomes. He has garnered over �2 million in research grants and serves as an Associate Editor for the Bone and Joint Journal.
