Mr Arif Razak is a highly experienced Consultant Hip and Knee Surgeon with a specialisation in total hip and total knee replacements. He operates at The Highfield Hospital in Rochdale, Lancashire, for his private practice, and at North Manchester General Hospital and Fairfield General Hospital for his NHS practice. Mr Razak completed his higher specialist training in 2017 and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). He also undertook a revision hip arthroplasty fellowship at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, gaining valuable experience in complex lower limb replacement surgery. Mr Razak is actively involved in teaching and training orthopaedic trainees. Mr Arif Razak currently holds two NHS posts, working as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at North Manchester General Hospital and Fairfield General Hospital. He is also the Orthopaedic Specialty Training Lead at North Manchester General Hospital. His areas of interest include hip arthritis, knee arthritis, hip and knee injections, total hip and knee replacements, knee arthroscopy, complex hip replacements, and hip pain caused by previous injury or deformity. He is registered with the General Medical Council and has published his work in various journals such as The Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons and Knee Surgery and Related Research. Mr Razak's research interests include metal allergy in hip replacement, cement pressurisation in knee replacement, and metallosis in dual mobility hip replacement. He is dedicated to staying up to date with the latest advancements in his field and providing the highest standard of care for his patients.
