Ardeshir Bonshahi

Mr Bonshahi is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of expertise in the field. He obtained fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and of Glasgow in 2001 and completed Higher Surgical training in Orthopaedics in Manchester. Specialising in lower limb arthroplasty, he has a strong research background and is actively involved in Orthopaedic education. Mr Bonshahi is a Fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and regularly visits renowned hip and knee surgery centres to stay updated with the latest advancements. Having received multiple qualifications including FRCS Tr&Orth and FRCSEd, Mr Bonshahi teaches on the MCh Orthopaedics Course at Wrightington Hospital and is an honorary senior lecturer at Edge Hill University. His practice focuses on joint replacement surgery, such as total hip and knee replacements, as well as sports medicine procedures like arthroscopic knee surgeries. He conducts his private practice at Highfield Hospital, Rochdale, and his NHS practice at Pennine Acute Hospitals. Additionally, his areas of interest include hip arthritis, knee replacement surgery, hip arthroscopy, and various minimally invasive procedures. Mr Bonshahi is a dedicated member of the British Orthopaedic Association, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the British Hip Society. He holds GMC Specialist Registration and is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Royal Oldham Hospital, Fairfield General Hospital, and Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust. Specialising in hip and knee surgeries, Mr Bonshahi offers video and telephone consultations in addition to his routine clinical practice focusing on complex joint replacements and sports medicine procedures.
