Mr Anthony Marino is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon with expertise in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. He obtained his MBBS degree from London University and completed his FRCS in Orthopaedics and Trauma in 2001 from the British Orthopaedic Association. Mr Marino is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the West Midlands NHS England Regional Spinal Network board. He serves as an Educational Lead in Trauma and Orthopaedics at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. Mr Marino has held various NHS posts including at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, Cannock Chase Hospital, and the University Hospital of North Midlands where he participates in Regional Spinal Multidisciplinary Team Meetings. He also offers specialist consultations at Nuffield Health Wolverhampton Hospital. He has undertaken Spine Fellowships with Professor Eisenstein and Mr Webb as part of his extensive training. With a focus on spine and trauma, Mr Marino provides expertise in spine surgery, spinal injections for acute and chronic low back pain, disc prolapse leg pain, and spinal stenosis, among other conditions. He is GMC Specialist Registered as an Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon since 2001. In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr Marino enjoys spending time with his family and participating in sports such as tennis and badminton. He is a fan of Manchester United Football Club and has a passion for music, playing the drums and piano. Mr Marino's research interests include lumbar spine decompression techniques, for which he received the 2019 Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Best Clinical Audit Excellence Award for his work on the 'Over the Top technique Lumbar Spine Decompression Audit'.
