Mr Anele Ebizie is an experienced consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon based at Tameside General Hospital in Greater Manchester. He graduated from the University of Nigeria Medical School in 1978 and completed his specialist training in the UK. He obtained the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1995 and has been on the specialist register of the General Medical Council. Mr Ebizie has a full General Orthopaedic practice and specializes in foot and ankle surgery. He also has interests in paediatric orthopaedics and complex reconstructive lower limb trauma. In addition to his NHS practice, he has had a private practice since 1996. Mr Anele Ebizie has held various positions at Tameside General Hospital, including Lead Educational Consultant and Clinical Director of the Orthopaedic Division. He is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate medical students and postgraduate orthopaedic trainees. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgery Society and has published articles in journals and made presentations to learned societies. His other areas of interest include paediatric orthopaedics and complex reconstructive lower limb trauma. Apart from his medical career, Mr Anele Ebizie has personal interests in writing (both fiction and non-fiction), current affairs, table tennis, and walking. His research interests include plantar fasciitis and foot posture and shape.
