Mr Andrew Rogers is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with over 20 years of experience. He obtained his medical degree from Cardiff University in 1992 and completed his orthopaedic training on the Welsh rotation. In 2001, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and obtained his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2002. Mr Rogers has a particular interest in hand surgery and has undergone fellowships at the Pulvertaft Hand Centre in Derby and the Christine M Kleinert Institute of Hand and Microsurgery in the USA. He currently practices at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport, where he specializes in hand and elbow surgery. He also sees and treats over one thousand patients annually for the Aneurin Bevan Healthcare Trust. In addition to his NHS role, Mr Rogers is a member of various professional societies including the British Society for Surgery of The Hand, the British Elbow and Shoulder Society, the British Orthopaedic Association, and the British Medical Association. He has also provided training courses to General Practitioners on conditions such as tingling fingers and elbow conditions and treatment. Mr Rogers holds several qualifications, including a Master's degree in Orthopaedic Engineering from Cardiff University and a diploma in Legal Aspects of Medical Practice from Cardiff Law School. Mr Andrew Rogers has a sub-specialty in hand and wrist surgery and offers video and telephone consultations. His areas of interest include carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's disease, trigger fingers, tennis elbow, fractures of the wrist, elbow, and hand, and arthritis of the thumb, among others.
