Mr Andrew Legg is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in knee surgery. He completed his orthopaedic registrar training in Yorkshire in 2015 and then went on to specialize in knee surgery through two fellowships. The first fellowship was an international sports orthopaedic fellowship at the UniSports Medicine Centre in Auckland, New Zealand. The second fellowship was a prestigious UK knee fellowship with Tim Spalding and Pete Thompson at The University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. Mr Legg was appointed as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in Rotherham, South Yorkshire in 2016. He has a specific interest in sports injuries, arthroscopic knee surgery, meniscal surgery, ligament reconstruction, osteotomy, patellofemoral instability, and partial and total knee replacement. Mr Legg currently holds a position as a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. His private practice is based at Kinvara Private Hospital and Spire Methley Park Hospital. He specializes in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, with a sub specialty in knee surgery. Outside of his medical career, Mr Legg is a keen sportsman who was a member of the Leeds Medics and Dentist Association Football Club during his time in medical school. Although he retired from playing in 2017, he still enjoys keeping fit through activities such as going to the gym, playing tennis, skiing, and cycling with his family.
