Mr Andrew Dunn is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with extensive experience in Bury St Edmunds. He has been practicing since 2003, working in both the NHS and private practice. He is currently affiliated with BMI St Edmunds Hospital and the West Suffolk Hospital. Mr Dunn is known for his expertise in knee and hip arthroplasty, having performed a high number of surgeries in the past year. He completed a fellowship in Knee Surgery in Auckland, New Zealand, specializing in arthroscopic knee surgery and ACL reconstructions/repairs. He actively contributes to national registries and is involved in a collaborative effort to reduce infection rates in joint replacement surgery. In addition to his clinical work, Mr Dunn holds the position of Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at the West Suffolk Hospital. His areas of interest include anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction/repair, arthroscopic knee surgery, and meniscal repair. He is a member of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and the British Medical Association. Mr Dunn's research interests revolve around quality improvement projects, with a focus on reducing infection rates in joint replacement surgery, peri-operative anemia, and hip fracture surgery. Outside of his professional life, Mr Dunn has a diverse range of personal interests. He enjoys gardening, fellwalking, travel, and rugby union.
