About
Mr Andrew Davies is a highly experienced Consultant Surgeon specializing in knee surgery. He received his training at St Bartholomews in London, Norwich, and Bristol, and further enhanced his skills through fellowship training in Canberra and Lyon. Since 2006, Mr Davies has held the position of Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon at Morriston Hospital in Swansea. He is renowned for his expertise in sports injuries, ligament reconstruction, re-alignment osteotomy, and patello-femoral (knee-cap) disorders. Mr Davies is an excellent communicator, regularly presenting his own research at national and international meetings. In addition to his NHS role, Mr Davies is affiliated with Sancta Maria Hospital. He is a sub-specialist in knee surgery and has a particular interest in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. He has published his work in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (Br), the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (Am), The Knee, and Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research. Mr Davies obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2004 and holds a Doctor of Medicine degree obtained in Bristol in 2002. Outside of his professional career, Mr Davies enjoys hill walking, running, and playing cricket. He is also actively involved in research, focusing on sports knee surgery and ligament reconstruction. His contributions to the field have earned him frequent publications and invitations to present at national and international meetings.
