Mr Alex Chipperfield is an experienced Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in primary and revision lower limb surgery. He graduated from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical School in 1997 and completed his basic surgical training in the UK and Australia. Mr. Chipperfield then undertook further work in Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery before joining the South East Thames Specialist Orthopaedic Training Programme. He completed his training in 2009 and achieved the FRCS qualification. Following this, he underwent a fellowship in Lower Limb Surgery with the Australian Orthopaedic Association in Sydney. He currently holds a Consultant position at the East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust. Mr. Chipperfield's special interests lie in lower limb arthroplasty, specifically in hip and knee surgery. He has a particular focus on hip replacements, knee replacements, partial knee replacements, revision hip replacements, and revision knee replacements. He is also skilled in arthroscopy of the hip and knee, as well as keyhole surgery for cartilage tears, meniscal injuries, and sports injuries. In addition to his specializations, Mr. Chipperfield has a strong background in general orthopaedics and trauma. Outside of his medical practice, Mr. Chipperfield resides in Kent with his wife and two daughters.
