Mr. A.J.L. Jowett is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience. He graduated from Guy�s and St Thomas� Medical School in 1996 and completed his basic surgical and specialist orthopaedic training in the Wessex region. He further enhanced his training with fellowships in foot and ankle surgery in New Zealand, Australia, and the USA, earning him an HCA International travelling fellowship and an American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Travelling Fellowship. In 2008, he was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust. His special interests include sports injuries to the foot and ankle, arthroscopic surgery, and bunion surgery. Mr. Jowett is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He has published and presented internationally on foot and ankle problems and has been involved in training future surgeons as the Surgical Tutor for Portsmouth Hospitals. Mr. Jowett has a diverse range of experiences and qualifications. He has published in various medical journals, including Foot and Ankle International, Skeletal Radiology, and the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons, among others. He holds qualifications such as FRCS (Tr & Orth) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and MBBS from the University of London. He is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Outside of work, Mr. Jowett enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children and participating in sports activities such as football, cricket, and golf.
