Mr Ahmed Elmorsy is a highly experienced consultant orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery. He graduated in 1998 and went on to earn an MSc degree in Orthopaedic surgery in 2003 and an MD degree in 2011. Mr Elmorsy has completed fellowships in Upper limb trauma and Shoulder surgery at Royal Surrey County Hospital in the UK. He has been awarded the European Fellowship of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 2010 and the FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) in 2015. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of the British Elbow & Shoulder Society and British Orthopaedic Association. Mr Elmorsy's clinical practice covers a range of shoulder surgeries, including shoulder replacements, arthroscopic surgery, soft tissue reconstruction, and treatment of sports injuries and complex upper limb trauma. Mr Elmorsy has a strong academic background, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in medical literature. He is actively involved in teaching and has run upper limb monthly teaching sessions during his fellowship. In 2017, he was appointed as a trauma and orthopaedics consultant at Salisbury District Hospital, where he also serves as the Clinical governance lead for trauma and orthopaedics. Mr Elmorsy is married with two children and enjoys playing squash and watching Premier League football with his family. Mr Ahmed Elmorsy's areas of interest include shoulder surgery, different types of shoulder replacements, arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation, sports injury operations, rotator cuff repair, ACJ reconstruction, frozen shoulder treatment, and subacromial decompression. He offers video and telephone consultations and provides regular teaching events for General Practitioners. He is actively involved in ongoing research projects related to reverse polarity Total Shoulder Arthroplasty and distal biceps tendon reattachment.
