Adrian Harvey is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience. He obtained his medical degree from University College London in 1991 and underwent further training in surgery in London and the Wessex orthopaedic training programme. Adrian specializes in knee surgery and arthroscopic surgery, with additional training in skiing injuries. He has a particular interest in treating athletes and military personnel and understands the importance of participating in sporting activities throughout life. In 2002, Adrian was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital in Dorset. He is actively involved in teaching other surgeons and is a faculty member for national and international courses. Adrian is part of a European design team and has created a new type of high functioning knee replacement. He is trained in the latest techniques, including computer-designed patient-specific instrumentation, robotic-assisted surgery, and custom knee replacements. Adrian is also experienced in using stem cells to treat orthopaedic cartilage conditions. He has trained knee fellows from Europe in specialist knee surgery. Adrian is a reviewer for the British Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Association for Knee Surgeons. Adrian Harvey has NHS posts at Poole Hospital NHS Trust and Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Trust. He offers consultations at The Bournemouth Private Clinic Ltd, Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital, Poole General Hospital, and Harbour Hospital. Adrian's specialties include trauma & orthopaedic surgery, and he has additional expertise in video and telephone consultations. He is highly skilled in a wide range of procedures including knee replacement surgery, knee arthroscopy, hip replacement surgery, and stem cell therapy. Adrian is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Association of Surgeon of the Knee (BASK). He obtained his FRCS (tr & orth) qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons London in 2001. In addition to his medical career, Adrian has a passion for sports and outdoor activities. He rowed at university in London and continues to compete in open water swimming events and sailing competitions. Adrian's commitment to both his professional and personal interests allows him to provide comprehensive and holistic care to his patients.
