Mr Adrian Fairbank is a highly experienced knee specialist with over 30 years of expertise in trauma and orthopaedic surgery. After completing his medical degree at Queens' College Cambridge and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in London, he went on to undertake Orthopaedic Fellowships in Australia and the US. In 1997, he became a Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George's Hospital, London, where he worked for 14 years. During his time in the NHS, he held various positions including Surgical Tutor, Lead Clinician for Knees, and member of the Research and Ethics Committee. In 2010, he made the decision to focus on clinical treatment of knee problems in the independent sector. Adrian is now part of a multidisciplinary team, specializing solely in knee surgery for patients aged 16 and above. His expertise includes a range of knee conditions from torn cartilage and ligament damage to knee replacements and robot-assisted knee surgeries. He is highly regarded in the field and has treated a wide range of patients, from professional athletes to weekend warriors. Mr Adrian Fairbank's qualifications include a FRCS (Orthopaedics and Trauma) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1996, an MB BChir from Cambridge University in 1986, and an MA from Cambridge University in 1987. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Association Surgery of the Knee. Mr Fairbank has published articles in prestigious medical journals such as the British Medical Journal and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He also offers continual professional development courses for General Practitioners and Physiotherapists. In his spare time, Mr Fairbank enjoys road cycling, golfing, and sailing. He has a keen interest in sports injuries and specializes in treating injuries related to football, rugby, golf, tennis, and athletics. Mr Fairbank works in association with Wimbledon Clinics' multidisciplinary team, providing care to a diverse range of patients, including professional athletes and actors.
