Mr Abhijit Dey is a highly experienced Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, with a special interest in complex hip and knee disorders in children and adults. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Cardiff in 1995, followed by specialist surgical training in South Wales. He completed a two-year Clinical Research Fellowship, leading to the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Sheffield. Mr Dey has also received extensive training in Australia and Canada, with fellowships in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and Knee Surgery and Sports Injuries. He has been a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery since 2009, with a focus on arthroplasty, sports injuries, and trauma. In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Dey is involved in training health professionals and is a member of various prestigious medical societies. Mr Dey's primary expertise lies in hip and knee surgery, including primary and revision (�re-do�) hip and knee replacements, arthroscopic ligament reconstruction, cartilage and meniscal repair, and realignment procedures. He also has experience in managing complex lower limb problems such as multiligament injuries and periprosthetic fractures. Mr Dey has a strong focus on patient-centered care, offering a range of treatment options depending on the individual's needs. He is actively involved in teaching and training other healthcare professionals, both in the UK and abroad. Mr Dey's contributions to the field have been recognized through various memberships and research publications. Outside of his professional life, Mr Dey is married and has three young children.
