Mr Davies has worked as a consultant surgeon for more than 15 years, specialising in elective and traumatic conditions of the foot and ankle. In his NHS consultant position at Northern General Hospital, he is an educational supervisor taking a keen interest in teaching junior surgeons. Over the years he has been frequently published on all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, including writing chapters for medical textbooks. As well as writing, he is invited to present at national and international conferences and is an active member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) in which he has been serving as the honorary secretary for the past 4 years.
